Writing
Expression is the key to a connected world.
The first thing I learnt from writing was my ability to express myself through chosen words. Conveying a thought, message, evoking an emotion and securing a connection is why I fell in love with writing.
Being able to monetize my passion for the written word through copywriting, web content and social media has been an absolute dream come true. I have worked as a journalist, rapporteur, content creator, and writing generalist over the past 6 years.
Attention to detail is everything.
Photography
A picture says 1000 words.
Through my lens, I am able to capture a moment that tells a unique story. A candid, a posed, a memory frozen in time, ready to be cherished forever.
My love for photography started at an early age. Growing up with a grandfather that was an award winning, amateur photographer, I had a harsh critic and a big supporter. My mother dabbled too; photography was a huge part of my upbringing, from posing as a model to eventually finding my comfort behind the camera.
I enjoy capturing candid moments, people, events, and life as it is. I am learning how to become more comfortable shooting portraits or planned shots. I have done product, portrait, event, sport, and nature photography, and I am looking to expand my portfolio.
Videography
My keen eye has also aided me in capturing motion pictures.
Well, yes, videography.
With a steady hand, I have been able to shoot promotional content for a couple different industries including, but not limited to, sports, night clubs, and performing arts.
Wishing to expand my portfolio, I am happy to assist with video content at a competitive, reasonable rate.
Marketing & Strategy
My content creating ventures have assisted me in developing a sixth sense for marketing campaigns and strategies.
I have dabbled in social media, website copy, blog article writing, content creation, spec allocations, campaign conceptualising, SEO, and reporting and analytics.
I have completed courses in Social Media Management, SEO, and Content Writing with HubSpot Academy. Additionally I have attended online webinars and completed a short course in photography with the University of Cape Town.
Marketing and Strategy come naturally to me, however I have a hefty portfolio to back me up.
